|No experience necessary and here’s why. Everyone has varied backgrounds when it comes to DIY and woodworking projects. Everything from the “never touched a tool novice” to the “veteran of countless DIY entanglements.” If you have some experience then you know the emotional side of any project undertaking. You may have used the tools, but maybe this project presents an all new set of challenges. If you are a novice then there are too many unknowns to even count.|
Where to start?
Regardless, all projects start as a concept or idea, and that concept or idea will lead to a certain amount of trepidation as you think about all that might be needed in order to complete the project. What materials would be best? How much will it cost? Do I have the tools needed? Will I get stuck in the middle of it? Do I have the space to dedicate to the effort? What if I need skills I do know if I possess? So many questions it seems overwhelming. Many cannot overcome the fear of starting something because they do not know where or how to solve for the previous questions and perhaps many others. And, if you overcome the initial inertia of fear then you will no doubt experience many more of the below emojis along the way.
| My point is this. The next time you have an idea to tackle a DIY Project don’t give up just because there are unknowns. There are solutions. We can help a little or a lot depending on your comfort level. Come make that thing you admitted to yourself you wanted to make, but were hesitant to try.|
